ANTI or backtrack? Whats your fav? - loading... - 03-27-2014 What do you prefer for mobile pentesting, Backtrack or ANTI and why? RE: ANTI or backtrack? Whats your fav? - Ligeti - 03-28-2014 Is that even a question? Backtrack/Kali is a Linux distro! You don't (at all) pentest using an OS (or a distro) you use tools and scripts... Another thing... What is mobile pentesting? or even better: why one earth would someone pentest a mobile phone? Or even using a mobileAnd please don't answer... And yet another thing: "zANTI is a comprehensive network diagnostics toolkit that enables complex audits and penetration tests at the push of a button. It provides cloud-based reporting that walks you through simple guidelines to ensure network safety." -- source: http://www.zimperium.com/anti.html Are you kidding me!? Just as simple as that? A push of a button? and we are all secured and our children can play happy ever after on the streets of LA! If pentesting is done like that then why the... did I pay over (way over) 1500 USD to get my damn CEH! To push a damn button? lmao You just spoiled my day ![]() Thanks RE: ANTI or backtrack? Whats your fav? - loading... - 03-28-2014 Mobile pentesting is pentesting with a mobile device, not pentesting a mobile device, which has its perks( not many but a few) and no, you spent all that for the knowledge. This was made so any security firm, business, or person can easily pentest their networks without much knowledge. RE: ANTI or backtrack? Do you really that pentesting is that easy? if so, then you are wrong, and for a very basic reason: each case is a special case, and each environment is unique, the database of vulnerability can't fit in one tool (any tool) Testing from a mobile phone is a bad idea (in my professional and personal opinion) I know +20 tools for pentesting using a phone... none of them work or does more than basic operations such as footprinting or ESSID listing... maybe a little more. (these tools are recommended by EC-Council) Thanks P.S.: sorry if I sound rude, believe me it is not in my nature! RE: ANTI or backtrack? Whats your fav? - loading... - 03-29-2014 Nah not rude, just informative. I hadnt tried ANTI or backtrack yet, just trying to get feedback on them to see what people say. So far from what you say, ANTI sucks and is a waste so im not even gonna bother. |
