What's your favourite programming language? - Spirit - 03-19-2014 Hah! I claimed the first thread to ever be posted here in history... Does that make me an HC Legend now? :troll: EDIT: A ton of threads were just moved into this sub-forum, but technically I still was the first to post here! ![]() Anyway, on to my question... HC, what's your favourite programming language? I've developed a liking for Python! RE: What's your favourite programming language? - Psycho_Coder - 03-19-2014 Ah soka... Well my favorite programming language is Java then python. But I will be switching to C++ after about a year. I personally only know a bit of Python right now and that's about it... I think I'll be sticking with it until about the end of this coming summer. After that maybe I'll try... C++ or... I don't know. Do you have any suggestions? I'm very open-minded and just love making little projects! RE: What's your favourite programming language? - Psycho_Coder - 03-19-2014 (03-19-2014, 09:23 PM)Maxx Wrote:(03-19-2014, 09:20 PM)Psycho_Coder Wrote: Ah soka... Well I would suggest you to stick with python for now and know it well with greater details. Later learn either C++ as a OOP language or a functional programming language like Haskell. RE: What's your favourite programming language? - invisal - 03-20-2014 I order by my most favorite to the least.
I like C/C++ a lot for educational purpose, but it is not my favorite language when I want to create application for my business. RE: What's your favourite programming language? - Ex094 - 03-20-2014 My favorite programming language is C++ so far, I do love C# (I've a very little experience but I consider it to be one of my favorites), Python and PHP too. Python is by far the best programming language to start with as a user, Because you might not have the basic concepts of programming paradigms and terms so it would be very useful in developing those, After able to write codes on your own and understand them correctly you can move on to learn a different programming language. I learned Python at first, Loved it. Had learned programming pretty much so when I joined university I had no problem in understanding the concepts of C++ because I'd already learned stuff on my own and other people in the class who were absolute absolute beginners were struggling much. So I think Python should be your first choice
RE: What's your favourite programming language? - alok9shm - 03-20-2014 I love C (because thats what I know right now). I'll be turning towards C++ by the end of this year. And yes, I started Python last week and seem to be loving it. RE: What's your favourite programming language? - clik - 03-20-2014 (03-19-2014, 09:20 PM)Psycho_Coder Wrote: Ah soka... Hi there. I would be interested to know the reasons why you chose Java and also python. thanks RE: What's your favourite programming language? - Psycho_Coder - 03-20-2014 To be frank I don't know why did I chose java. One reason that I could think off is that I was inspired by Deque and since she codes a lot in java have I chose java and I am good with it, also its my main programming language. I love python for its simplicity, flexibility, and write less, do more philosophy. Also python is everywhere and can be easily integrated with various other languages. RE: What's your favourite programming language? - Deque - 03-20-2014 This is like one of the standard questions in forums, so I will just copy&paste my answer I gave elsewhere. Quote:When it comes down to only liking the programming language and not what I use most or what I am best at or how the language implementation is that I use (that's all only important if you think of solving certain tasks with them), then Scala is my favourite. |
