Kubuntu Sucks! - Spirit - 03-12-2014

I just switched from my beloved BackBox OS to Kubuntu.
And I'll be honest, I hate this OS with a passion. :Angry:
It's slow, it's glitchy, and just flat out feels weird!

So, HC, what are your thoughts on Kubuntu?
Do you like the KDE interface?
Would you ever use Kubuntu?
Why or why not?

Honestly I've never liked the KDE Interface, for me it's just a waste of precious memory. I'm a great fan of gnome and it makes the desktop really comforting also Gnome has really less memory consumption.

I'm a user of BackBox linux and pretty satisfied with it and No I would never use Kubuntu.

@Ex094, I obviously just learned that I don't like the KDE interface either. I'm still debating on whether or not I'll be taking a step back and giving the GNOME version of Ubuntu a chance again. But until then, I'll stick with BackBox!
And it's cool to see that we favor the same OS. :Smile:
EDIT: In case you were wondering, I already wiped Kubuntu clean off my system and reinstalled BB.

I am not a big fan of KDE, and yes it has some cool animation, but ... I like my terminal, and in specific terminator, so ... as Ex094 said, KDE is just "a waste of precious memory"

Step back? I don't think that you should consider Gnome to be behind KDE! Because when you compare two systems (any) you have to consider what is functional and what is not, for me KDE is not even a luxury, or something advanced, as I really don't give a damn about GUI (I am practical and realistic), and I would hate to have half of my memory (I am exaggerating here) gone on silly features like cool animation, or pretty desktops!

Woah there, @Ligeti... You took that way wrong. I didn't mean to offend or anything, and GNOME is obviously not a step back from KDE.
When I said that I more so meant that I should consider taking a step back and considering a different operating system. That's all I meant... :Ambivalent:

I used Lubuntu on my laptop it is very lightweight and very very fast distro and was running just fine on my laptop which had low system specs.

I honestly only liked ubuntu. All the other flavors where pretty bad and had a weird feel.
