need help in grabbing ip from facebook - new_Learner - 02-07-2014
hello
guys i read all the tutorial about ip grabbing.but none of them help me.
netstat -n and also some other by sending link.
is there any way that i just chat with some one and i grab his ip with out sending him any link.
is that possible,i know its possible but dnt know how to do that can any one help me out please :Embarrassed:

I didn't know that facebook uses p2p to chat (text) ... no one does that really! So no I don't "think" that you can grab IP by sending text messages alone (unless their protocol/packets hold such information), I am not a facebook user so I really can't "help", but I don't think that it is really doable the way you describe it... you need to do something more than that (maybe a facebook application) and send it to them! (which is not safe and classified under "CRAAAAZY!") lol

There is a way to do it. You'll need your own website/server though.
If you own a server you can upload an image to it, configure your server to display all incomming connections that visit that image.
So now you can send your guy the link to this image. as soon as he clicks on this image you will see a new incoming connection that should be him.

Spam emails do this all the time (im not sure if they still do it, email clients have become much better), but whenever you'd click on a spam email, they would have a specially generated image included in the email. As soon as it was loaded you've downloaded an image from their server so now they know your email/ip.

hm...Its actually used for confirming the address is active and that the email has been read. might use the IP for geotagging but that depends on their reasons.
but many clients nowadays disable remote images by default, as well as embedded scripts.
