What software do you guys use? - Aut•ono•mous - 01-04-2014 Hey guys, I'm trying to advance my skills as a web-developer, & I'm just curious what tools all of you more experienced would recommend? I've used Dreamweaver, but wasn't all that into coding back then. I mainly use Wordpress, & other platforms for client's sites, because I guarantee ease to update & manage, but I'd like to be able to work on more advanced sites for my portfolio. What would you guys suggest? RE: What software do you guys use? - hunt3r972 - 01-06-2014 Notepad++ ... Free and very good RE: What software do you guys use? - unnamed - 01-06-2014 I'm not comfortable with IDEs or programs of that sort to be honest. I just use Sublime Text 3 for almost anything. I'm going to give Sublime a try. RE: What software do you guys use? - zomgwtfbbq - 01-06-2014 I weave dreams with Dreamweaver. Have been using it since it was still Macromedia Dreamweaver. Of course there are lots of editors around that are good, but haven't found anything that can beat it's awesome regex pattern searching/replacing through opened documents, selected text and entire folders. Dreamweaver is good but is outdated. I hate their design feature because it inserts unnecessary JavaScript & CSS into the page when (if you coded it yourself) it would be a lot better. But it is useful because it's actually built for web development rather than using other software like Notepad++ that's built for all-around scripting. Either way, I'd recommend Notepad++ but guaranteed there's other better programs out there. Hello Anything that supports HTML5 is fine with me, I am not a web master, I did maybe around... let's say +10 online systems in the past couple of years, and I used only Notepad++ and vim (vi of Linux) only! I searched for a good WYSIWYG system, but I couldn't find a "good" one, and I don't have enough money to pay for DreamWeaver. I have to say though, I tried WebPlus, which I thought is good, but I didn't have enough time to explore it fully. Thanks RE: What software do you guys use? - Ligeti - 02-16-2014 ...
