I don`t see a problem with this. I mean, when I make a really HQ post or something I don`t really get recognition. Maybe some reps, but I probably already have rep from them. I was just thinking it would help us all to be active, and it shows how HQ we are, not how many times we can post.

That's what rep is for. Personally I don't see a use in the thanks plugin but hey, others might.

Possibly a thumbs up/down system also. I remember someone suggesting this before. Maybe after a certain amount of thumbs up, you get extra SP? Although I could see that being exploited.
Edit: Just a quick edit to say that with MBytes malicious website protection enabled, this site was blocked. I found that strange.

I mean, I can see it running separately from the reputation system, but do you guys honestly think it would make the forum better? We already have a reputation system for this kind of. While I could easily add this, I am not sure if it would really have a point.

I think a system that only displays thanks on a post/thread would be fine. One that displays total thanks earned, and given are pointless with reputation. I'd feel grateful for seeing a thank you beneath a post of mine, seeing it next to my rep would just make it pointless in my opinion.

There's no importance to it, though. There's already stuff put in for "social recognition"
