Security Expert: IE Patches Must Be Installed Even If You Use Chrome or Firefox - McLovin - 05-17-2013 Yesterday Microsoft released new security patches for Internet Explorer, trying to patch vulnerabilities that would expose users’ data in case of successful attacks. Deploying these patches is pretty important even if you’re using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, Marc Maiffret, chief technology officer for BeyondTrust, told V3, as some of the installed apps might still rely on Internet Explorer as the default browser. “We have a lot of customers that do run Chrome. The thing you want to make sure of is that you don't just have Chrome installed alongside but make sure it is the default browser, and not just the browser on the desktop,” he said. All patches are delivered via Windows Update, so make sure you allow the operating system to install them as soon as the downloading process is over. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Security-Expert-IE-Patches-Must-Be-Installed-Even-if-You-Use-Chrome-or-Firefox-353871.shtml RE: Security Expert: IE Patches Must Be Installed Even If You Use Chrome or Firefox - Foulplay - 05-17-2013 Thanks for sharing.
