That

Without knowing the intimate details of your system it's going to be almost impossible to determine how they are getting in, however I can offer some tips to help you secure your network based on the very little that's known:

Ensure your operating system is up to date, updates contain essential security patches that close loopholes allowing access.

If you are using Windows make sure you are using a good anti virus *Malwarebytes* is a good one or *Avast*

Check your router settings to ensure remote administration is disabled this would allow users from anywhere full access to your system. Also disable WPS as this is vulnerable and change both the access key and admin password again choosing two strong passwords (capital letters numbers and special characters)

Run a full virus scan on all devices in your home and remove any you find, there are guides to do this manually on here if it comes to it.

If you could provide more information to us, we'd be able to help you a lot more.

Also I believe a moderator should change the title as it gives no indication as to what the thread is about.

Changed the thread title to reflect the subject matter and moved the thread to a more appropriate location

When you re-installed the op system have you format all the drive? as chmod says install a good antivirus -i suggest malwarebytes becose work fine and you could also combine whith some good firewall like zone alarm or comodo -(all free and easy downloadable). The only way that a hacker can return - is that -you- or have a download -starting to a stupid thing like a pdf or that you keep using some site where his has access.

Make a credential account on windows and block the others to download or to made some change of the files - you can do it whith gpedit.msc -administrative modells -users configuration, and the administrator account use it only when you try to make some good and verified changes.
- Use this link to learn something that is expand the feature of the windows :
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb469930
you will find on Videos and Webcasts great tools to manage and monitoring your operating system,
-insert on your browser -if google some extension like WOT -a extension that help you navigate to secure web site ,like AD BLOCK,DO NOT TRACK ME ,GHOSTERY , MASK ME -all extension that you can esay find on crome web store -is enought to go on google-setting - extension -add extension and search all this on the left box.
-Close some service like telnet and if you don't use close also the device like print ,fax and all this-beware to not closed the camera or the mouse -becouse you may have needed.
-Go to your router and see if you don't have some portforwarding door open - probably if you have a child can play some games that need a port open and an portforwarding,or even a p2p like emule or torrent can have a port open.
-Install a sandieboxie
http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?DownloadSandboxie
he will create a virtual enviroment for your browser and all the download you can run 'it -almoust in safe into a virtual enviroment- learn first how to use'it ,
-if you have download some thing first to open run 'it to this site and see the results :

and -that's all that i have to say - for any future question we are here Biggrin

The phone connected to the home network and my desk top, laptop, tablets, i-pad were all controlled by the hacker. When I say "control", I mean they hacked into the devices and obtained confidential information. After knowing that, I turned off the wi-fi at home and re-set the router password. They were not able to get in. But at the same time, I couldn't connect onto the internet either. I re-installed the Window 8 operating system on my laptop and Window 7 system on the desk top. I turned on the wi-fi connection at home and used the i-pad to connect to the internet. Sure enough, they hacked into my laptop and desk top again. I changed the router and the password, not sure if the system is secured, I dare not to turn on the wi-fi connection. Hope I have provided enough information for you to help me?

Oppps -i see a little bit later your answer - anyway if you change the router - it was a good idea-i don't know if whith this you have changed your mac address ,but meantime you have disallow the access to your connection -now go and setup your wifi connection to a wpa2 connection and make a 13 letter good password - whith symbol ,space letters and numbers-someting that no fucking good dictionary can find and watch up of the apps that you download for your phone - the new cybercrime is directed to hack only the mobile phone device.
