Mobile App Programing - belgarrion - 06-13-2013

I am putting together a mobile app for a company in my area. The only issue i have is that i am cheap and dont want to pay apple 99$ a year to become a developer for them. But i need there certificate and p12 file before i can create the app to work on ipad/iphone. is there any way to get around or the create one myself?

There are tons of ways. Please, let me know the following things:
- do you have a Mac? It'd be easiest with Xcode.
- what language do you want to use?
- the target OS is iOS I presume, isn't it?

Mobile app platform for iOS is ... the language Objective C

There are lots of frameworks for building apps for smartphones and tablets. You can nowadays do that in Obj-C, Assembly, machine code, C++, C, C#, Lua, Python, et cetera. Obj-C is probably the best language for that target

I was going through phonegap software then i was going to use flash builder but both require the certificate.

I use a windows7 machine. I do not have access to a mac.

I have the app ready for android, blackberry and windows using phonegap
. phones but apple is being a pain.

How about using a VM? This is a full tutorial: http://maconwindows.blogspot.it .

I know also a few iOS SDKs for Windows, but the best ones are probably cashware.

I thank you for all the help. However one issue remains.

I have to get a certificate through apple developer program. I do not want to do this. Due to the fact that these apps will not be on the open market they will be inhouse only. but i can not use ether phonegap or flash builder to do this without the certificate and a p12 file. I think the in doing it this way apple is hurting themselves. Blackberry, android, windows phones are easy. Apple makes it hard. The only reason i want apple is the company is looking at purchasing 30 ipads for there office. if this is what they have to go through for a ipad app then i will recommend going to windows/ android tablet.

Well, is this issue only with Phonegap of Flash Builder? I believe with Xcode you can just type in and build the app.

If you have experience with HTML5 , then also you can build Mobile Apps for Iphone or android, but you need additional knowledge of Jquery Mobile and CSS3
