EVGA Graphics Card or Motherboard? - Ultimatum - 09-24-2012

Hey AnarchyForums and all fellow members,

I might actually be building my own custom computer, though I'm debating on a good Graphics Card. I heard EVGA had a nice configuration and their motherboards were extremely sick, but most of the functions aren't used anyway?

Meh, I'm just speculating, anybody out there who has some experience?

I have an EVGA 680 in my desktop.
I think they're reputable and I doubt you'll end up with bad parts.

EVGA video cards are very high quality. I'd save up for both, if I were you. If you had to choose one, I would take the video card.

When I look for GPUs, I always choose from ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and XFX. The only problem with EVGA is that they only have GTX GPUs. I prefer to have an ATi GPU over a GTX GPU. The only time I would consider having a GTX GPU is if I were buying a GTX 690, but that's just my preference. I understand everyone is different.

If you're looking for a GTX GPU, look at the brands I listed above as well as EVGA. They're all medium to high quality.

This graphics card is mind blowing and is by far the best video card I ever laid eyes on.

Ya, that is a great GPU, if you can afford it get it. As for your motherboard I would go with Asus.

EVGA make great cards but I have had several of thier motherboards fail. I always default to ASUS for my motherboards now. I have never experienced a problem with them and they are good at honoring thier guarantee.

Yes, I heard their support is excellent, however, I have an Asus board atm, and a Gigabyte GPU, both do fine so far, but only time can tell.
