Take down entire network - chukkyjr - 05-28-2013 Hi is it possible to take down an entire network when we're connected to the network itself? and how do we prevent it? thanks! i've heard about these mac/syn flooding, network/routing loop but i can't seem to find a documentation on how-to and protection, most are only descriptions of what are those attacks and not sure if those are 'attacks' that has been launched on my wifi/lans. Not sure which, but sometime my entire network went down so i thought this was the cause RE: Take down entire network - chmod - 05-28-2013 I posted a tutorial on taking down a Windows based network using IPv6 packets a while ago, I'm sure there are many other ways of doing this but the simplest way of combating my technique is to simply disable IPv6 or don't use Windows |
