Liberty Reserve's founder, Arthur Budovsky Belanchuk was arrested in Spain on Friday.Investigators stated that Mr Arthur's business in Costa Rica,including Liberty Reserve,were used to launder money for drug trafficking and pornography websites.Liberty reserve was known for easily converting US dollars into Bitcoins and vice versa.Brian Krebs, a cybercrime expert said that Liberty Reserve was one of the most popular way of making payment in the “cybercrime underground.” It seems that after the shut down on Liberty Reserve,many underground forum will face difficulty as most of them were using this service to transfer their money.

Yup... 30% of cash loss... and the inj3ct0r's r against the US govt..

I think that it will come back up again they have changed the nameservers and the hosting company as i have heard but who knows for real

Nop.. brother this is 100% true news.. he was arrested in spain..!! used launder money for drug trafficking and pornography websites..!!

There are different news from different websites. Some say that it is shutdown forever some say it will be back.

was got Jailed and accused in
money laundering.'
admin heared about that, and he also wrote owner got jailed

If the admin of the website went to jail, it doesn't necessarily mean that the whole website is lost. There is a backup of the whole website somewhere and all that is needed is to find a new host and new staff that will run it. Look at Megaupload, it got shut down for very similar reasons and now it is up and doing good again.
