Rules for HC official programs - Deque - 03-24-2013

This is probably nothing new, but I write it down for clarity for new members.

Rules

  1. Every HC member, who has written a tool by him-/herself, can apply to make it a HC official tool. It doesn't matter how long you have been a member or if you are member of HC Dev. Use this thread to apply: http://www.hackcommunity.com/Thread-Your-program-in-the-official-HC-Programs
  2. If you used code parts of other people give credits. State all contributors of your project and what they have done for it.
  3. Your tool has to be HC related. I.e. use the HC logo somewhere and maybe the HC theme. If your program only has a CLI, you can use a text to ASCII art generator to create a title. Example: Ex094's MD5 cracker: http://www.hackcommunity.com/Thread-HC-Official-MD5-Hash-Cracker
text to ASCII art generator: http://patorjk.com/software/taag/#p=display&f=Cybermedium&t=Hackcommunity.com
  4. Your tool must be open source
  5. Your tool has to be of a certain quality
  6. HC Dev members can post their tools without applying for it

Any more questions? Post here.

RE: Rules for HC official programs - static_cast - 04-15-2013

Is there anyway I can get the HC stylesheets? [Like for buttons and backgrounds?]

It would be enough if you place the HC logo somewhere and make a black-red theme (see other programming entries).
@bluedog.tar.gz may answer your request, though.

We can use any language for the tool? Or there are restrictions? @Deque

The programming language doesn't matter.
