Hmm ... in theory you don't need to open ports because basically no firewall is installed to block ports. Installing a firewall on a pentesting/hacking computer will just make your tasks harder because it will filter everything received instead of capturing everything to take the informations. This is why we don't put personnal things, anti-virus and firewalls on hacking computer
