Skype Proxy Guide - narc0tics - 01-29-2013 I'm not quite sure if there's a tutorial on this yet, but I haven't seen any. This is a fairly understandable method, and I'll be doing it step-by-step. This is basically to prevent your IP from being traced/resolved on Skype. So if you are paranoid, this guide is for you. 1. First we'll have to find a proper proxy for usage. Proxies can be found all over the Internet, so just pick one that suits you. I'll use a common site for it: http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ 2. Pick one of your taste(speed and connection time is pretty important), but make sure "HTTPS" is the only protocol enabled. ![]() 3. Copy the proxy IP and port, and go to this site: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/33446/twitch/skype.html - now enter the right information into the boxes: ![]() 4. Hit "Save to disk", and locate it on your desktop. 5. Now right click it, and click "Merge": ![]() 6. It'll give you a message about your configuration, just hit "Yes" to continue. 7. The value has now been stored in your registry, re-boot your PC and it should work. Have fun. Credits to ignisar for the Skype Proxy Configurator. |
