So i was just sat in cs6 bored and i thought i would try and make a sig so heres what i have
i did the ripple efect with the brush on dat guy then added a clouds stock and lowered the opacity.

then i just added my username i think i should use a different R though

You forgot some important rules if you are making signatures.
- First of all you have to make the render stand out since this is pretty much your focal. ( You can blend it in but in this piece it isn't done correctly ( obviously because your a beginner ;P ) )
- Your text placement is incorrect, follow the rule of third.
- Try to make the piece more interesting by adding more elements
I hope I gave some suggestions, you can look around on any GFX forums to get you started on learning some techniques
