What would be the best mobile OS to develop apps for? - Regac E - 12-15-2012

So i was planning to develop for windows phone but after reading on their forums i only saw complains and complains about how there has gone 120 days and still no payment from MS and shit like that.

So i'm asking you guys what do you believe is the most reliable mobile operating system to develop games and applications for.
Windows phone / Android / iOS

Please come up with a good answer not just "Android cause of Linux Biggrin"

Hope there are some programmers out there who have the time to leave a reply Smile

I would say Android. People who can't afford Iphones, are buying Android. So Android or iOS.

I would say - go multiplatform. If you target multiple mobile OSes, then you get much higher potential userbase - people can run your app no matter what mobile OS they're using.

drake8: But that reasoning might work against what he wants. If he wants to sell his app, do you think it's clever to target people who don't have enough money? If he targets iOS, he's more likely to get users with more cash, who will be more willing to spend money on his app as well.

I can't outsmart you. But, phones like Samsung Galaxy S3 are more expensive than Iphones. Which also means, you need lots of cash to buy it.

both android and ios are good for app development ,android phones are affordable unlike ios devices, but the chance of piracy is high in android compared to ios,i personally think ios ecosystem is better

In my opininion iOS and android are the stronger options, and it really seems like mobile developing is the future in many areas, if I had to choose one I'd go with iOS and learn obj-c, but others are also good so good luck OP. (=
