RE: Are You Hacker ? - Deque - 12-10-2012 A hacker is a person who thinks out of the box and goes unusual ways to solve problems. A hacker cares more about skill and knowledge than wealth or fame. Hacking doesn't have to be tech-related imho. Social Engineering is some kind of non-technical hacking. And I would also see MD House as an example of fictional hacker. Or Sherlock Holmes. Both think out of the box in order to solve their puzzles. Back to the question: No, I am not a hacker. I am just a computer scientist interested in it-security. I know that forums titled with "hacking" are it-security related, that's why I am here. However, I love the mindset of a hacker and agree with most of it (see problems as a challenge, don't let yourself spoonfeed, share knowledge and solutions, don't force others to reinvent the wheel, ...). RE: Are You Hacker ? - 1234hotmaster - 12-10-2012 is OP by ANY CHANCE from India? RE: Are You Hacker ? - H4R0015K - 12-10-2012 The word hacker also means a person who cuts roughly. |
