i am a newbie for linux - anonymous_chars - 11-27-2012 can someone recommend me a book about how to learn Linux? thank you very much. ![]() RE: i am a newbie for linux - Shining White - 11-27-2012 Newbies to Linux Linux Basic Starting On Ubuntu Bash Scripting Guide Advance Linux let me know when you need any help RE: i am a newbie for linux - anonymous_chars - 11-27-2012 thank you,i will read the books you have given me,and if i have questions,i will ask you for help~ RE: i am a newbie for linux - Grell - 11-27-2012 Experience is the best teacher. Books are great to learn from but ultimately using the OS is how you will learn. I suggest grabbing Ubuntu and just screwing around and getting used to that. The more interested and immersed you are into learning about Linux, the more you will learn. Consider it like Linux boot camp. And if you get stuck forums or IRC are the best way to get unstuck (after you have tried to solve the problem yourself). Good luck, and don't give up. RE: i am a newbie for linux - anonymous_chars - 11-28-2012 well,i am trying to use Linux to solve some problems, such as programming, entertainment, and so on,i`ll try my best RE: i am a newbie for linux - chmod - 11-28-2012 As already stated really I taught myself to use linux and it's really not that hard once you get into it, it can be a little confusing at first but aftetva while the commands just sorta make sense. If you don't understand a command try the help or man pages then try forums/Google if you are really stuck. Good luck and it gets easier and more rewarding the more you learn trust me RE: i am a newbie for linux - swagdaddy - 12-01-2012 (11-27-2012, 02:47 PM)Grell Wrote: Experience is the best teacher.
