Good morning everyone!
(First of all I want to apologize my English grammar.
)It's a long time ago that I was acting in this Business. So i want to start first with a good Firewall.
I have a router. Is it still necessary to have a firewall?
Which one would you suggest?

I just had a p3 hardware firewall few years ago. Don't use any now at the moment. Just a software firewall. And on my virtual private server i have just a basic iptable firewall that just rejects/drops unknown sources from scanning ports and stuff. The only open ports on my server are 21 and 80.
I had comodo before, but its not that amazing. It only blocks really big shit like Darkcomet or Zeus.. Other good rats just get past it if i'm currect.

The Windows 7 firewall is good enough.
If you have a Internet Security Suite eg McAfee, Norton Kaspersky, a firewall is already running. If you don't "trust" the Windows 7 firewall, get the free Comodo Firewall.

Use Comodo firewall if you have a basic knowledge of registry, system files, protocols and ports.
Comodo is powerful if you know how to set up your own firewall rules.

Yes , COMODO Firewall is one of the best , but window 7 firewall is good enough ..

comodo is pain in the ass.
windows firewall is a shit. I suggest to stick on a good antivirus with internet security.
avira might come in handy.
avast might be good also since I've used it before.

@check_out The firewall choice depends on its usage. Do you need to use it as a personal firewall (protect only your computer) ?
