Cyberghost VPN - SmokeBomb - 03-04-2013

Hello, new guy here. Quite new in hacking, and only hacked small game websites.

I've been using Cyberghost, but now I have my doubts. Many say they store logs, but they say that they don't. I don't know who to believe.

Would you believe them? They reside in Romania and there is no law forcing them to keep logs

RE: Cyberghost VPN - r00tmaster - 03-05-2013

You should believe in me.

Every VPN stores logs. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!
Even the ISP where the VPN is hosted (the servers used) are logging everything.

Then you're a fucking retarded who doesn't know what he's dealing with.

tor is the best to make you "anonymous".

And what makes you the oh-so superior knowledge in VPNs?
No, not 100% of every hosting, ISP, VPN Owners, Proxy Owners keep logs.

The majority of them do, but I can guarantee you there are the ones who do not log activity. Logical reasoning tells you that.

Based on your logic, Tor is vulnerable too. There about people out there hosting the Tor nodes, and apperantly EVERY ONE keeps logs, so according your conditions not even Tor is safe.
Fucktard.

I don't rely on Tor. The only reason Tor was brought into this is because he was saying it's safe while everything else isn't.

Holy shit i think i just got dumber while reading your post.

So, you're telling me, that tor isn't safe?

Of course, it's not 100% safe, but how are VPN's any better than tor?

So, do you think that having a VPN hosted on Russia will make you "omgz imma anonymouse"

Kill yourself, please. Seriously.

And, how is tor "vulnerable". Do you think that it's being monitored?

No, I'm not saying Tor isn't safe. I sometimes use it myself to be unknown.
How are VPNs any better than Tor? Not all VPNs keep logs, that whole mindset you have that everybody keeps logs is wrong. As I've said before, The majority of them do, but some don't.
As long as you get a VPN that doesn't keep logs, it's better than Tor. Faster speeds. Universal spoof instead of just the Tor browser (I do know you can configure Tor to be used on other applications so don't tell me I'm wrong with that).

No, I don't think having a VPN hosted in Russia makes you automatically anonymous. The nVPN servers in Russia don't log, but other Russian hosted VPNs can more than easily do so.

I'm not saying Tor is vulnerable, I'm saying to your logic, it is. Which just again, proves you wrong.
In your theory, every host keeps logs. People are out there hosting the Tor nodes you connect to, so apparently to you they're logging activity. And if they aren't, their ISP is. This is completely wrong, which just proves that your theory is wrong.

There are VPNs that don't keep logs. These VPNs are just as safe as Tor.

RE: Cyberghost VPN - Soul - 03-07-2013

Just a little input from me...

I used to be in contact with a really old friend of mine who sold VPN subscriptions. He kept logs - but only for 15 minutes. After that amount of time, it was deleted.

It's just as good as a no-log VPN if you're planning to do stuff.
