Whats the best VPN to use...free or not, doesn't matter? I'm looking for anonymity and performance, and also, will it work on a VMware Workstation running Ubuntu?

I use http://www.purevpn.com/ to get complete security and anonymity on the internet for just $9.95/month. I can easily access to geo-restricted websites now and all my data passes through an encrypted tunnel and I am very much happy and satisfied with this provider because unauthorized person cannot decode my information
