Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - Jacob - 02-24-2012 ![]() I started this up because I had purchased a domain and bought hosting for personal reasons, so i figured i'd do something with the website itself. As of yesterday I decided to make a blog that is ONLY centered around Programming and Coding...of any type! Hopefully, 1llusion will partner with me and we will have mutual advertisement on each others websites. For now though, the website is in its baby stages and has far to come! At this moment of time, I am allowing open registration, but I have decided to do registration like this Quote:Closed during weekdays and open registration on the week ends. RE: Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - Frooxius - 02-25-2012 Interesting, but what about the "like you've never seen"? It's not very clear to me from that description what's original about that, as in, what do you think that you can offer, that other portals don't? Also why Delusional? Also... are there gonna be MusicString tutorials? ^^' RE: Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - Jacob - 02-25-2012 (02-25-2012, 12:03 AM)Frooxius Wrote: Interesting, but what about the "like you've never seen"? Any one person who is accepted for developer/staff will have given proof that they are knowledgeable of ALL languages that they say they are. -Delusional Coding, because i bought the domain 'delusionality.info' in the spur of the moment. Decided to start a blog and 1llusion and I both loved Delusional Coding. The domain will be changed once I sell this one, or get tired of it. -Of course there will be.....as long as you request the developers to post them. If you are not a developer, you may write content for your language and ask to have it posted. On the last note, im thinking of installing some plug-ins that allow me to choose category mods. For example a category for MS; you will be the moderator. But not have moderator privileges else where. RE: Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - Frooxius - 02-25-2012 Yeah, but other websites don't allow leeched content as well. Like the CodeProject for example. So Delusional Coding is just a name that you liked? That's good! It might be funny to expand on that idea and put some jokes in the articles and code snippets, referring to delusions and such. You know, the same way that Python has "spam" and "eggs" instead of "foo" and "bar" like most other language examples, so you can have like "hallucination" or "paranoia" or something like that. Quote:If you are not a developer, you may write content for your language and ask to have it posted. Umm... what? Oo This is a bit confusing. How can someone, who develops his own language, not be a developer? O.O I don't understand you here much, can you clarify what you meant please? Also small side-note: If by MS you mean MusicString... well can I ask you to not use that abbreviation please? It's a bit confusing with MicroSoft. I usually (and officially) shorten it as MusStr, or MStr :3 EDIT: Oh additionally I wanted to ask: What about the license of the articles? Do you claim the rights for your website, so the articles are exclusive to it? Or do you allow to publish content, that was also published elsewhere under share-alike license and is submitted by its author (therefore it's not leeched, it's merely published on several places) RE: Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - bluedog.tar.gz - 02-25-2012 Goodluck on this, GFX requests are welcome

"Developer" is a title he uses. Like "Mod" on HC. Or this way I understand it =) RE: Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - Jacob - 02-25-2012 Frooxius. Ill answer your questions when I get on a computer But regarding the developer. It's just a Wordpress rank. Similar to mod in forums. They can post new blog posts. I dont tolerate it whatsoever. - The pun..that would be freaking awesome, great idea ![]() - I apologize for the abbreviation of Music String. - The content published on the blog will be under the sole rights of Delusional Coding and their affiliates. Side note: Would you like to apply for developer/staff for the website? ![]() RE: Delusional Coding - A coding and Programming Blog like you've never seen - Frooxius - 02-25-2012 Not really, they review your article before they publish it and they don't tolerate it either. They're quite big server, they can't afford to tolerate leeched content, because that's possible copyright infringement which can cause them some trouble, so you have to be author of what you publish (or possibly have rights to it), otherwise they might get sued about publishing content they don't have rights for, so you have to agree that you have the rights to it. If you don't, then it might be YOU who gets in trouble, the community is quite big and the articles are reviewed by thousands of people every day.
