Hide info from Whois service for the site that has been already created - Mnemonic - 02-15-2012

I bought a domain from hostgator.com but when i have a look at it it leaks all my private info.

Please post any appreciable way.Please help me how to hide , remove that info .

Whois guard wich is like $5,10 at hostgator.

But i see many people who do not have all the info visible.why is that so ? do all spend $510.I think buying a new domain is less costly.

Remember, whois privacy will not protect you 100%. If your domain points to illegal content, they will reveal your real whois at any request. I know what I'm talking about =P

aaah but my problem is stuDDly. I bought a .in domain . and theres some some rule by indian government for (Hostgator-Google)(indiagetonline.in) that it is not possible to hide(as per they assisted me in customer care) by any tool or whatsoever for .in domains

using this myself and they dont even need your real details so they cant give it away either ^.^
domains you purschase there they register on their own company name as you can see in this example
http://whois.domaintools.com/demonicnetworks.com
2 years .com domain is like 17/20 euro each year after ordering a domain there just be patience and make sure you send them your nameserver details,
they work this out on a manual way.
