Does "Justified War" exist? Put simply, can war be justified by what countries do to each other? Keep in mind of religion (eg, how war should never happen regardless of what people do to each other) , science, and overall morality and ethics. RE: [Reason] Does "Justified War" exist? - Evangelist - 01-19-2013 No there is no such thing as a justified war and less when you used a lie as an excuse. I think that wars because of religion are very and extremely stupid. Why destroy lives over who believes what? Its not moral or ethical. RE: [Reason] Does "Justified War" exist? - Bane - 01-19-2013 It can be over looked, but not justified no, acts of war can never be justified. RE: [Reason] Does "Justified War" exist? - Reiko - 03-24-2013 The only justifiable war is when someone attacked you first, in cold blood. RE: [Reason] Does "Justified War" exist? - The_Joker - 03-27-2013 Well it defines what constitutes war. Is self defence justified? Then a nation should be able to defend itself. as long as there are people there will be the stupid people that start wars. A justifed war would be saving more lives than would be lost through inaction. Then countries invade other countries in "self defense" like the war in Iraq, politicians will say that it was self defense, same with the invasion of Afghanistan. Sure, countries should be able to defend themselves, but are militaries truly necessary, or just another means of exploitation and oppressing the people? |
