Anyone here got spotify? Recently it's expanded to the US. The client basically has the UI of itunes, but when you search, it doesn't have to be only your library, but all the music they have available. Which is a pretty large selection. Last I checked it was invite only, though.
They also provide more things with their paid services (like apps for <EVIL PHONE BRANDED WITH A FRUIT>, android and windows phone/windows mobile, better quality music) but I haven't been able to get it.(broke :C)

My friend has it and as much as I understood you need some premium code or something to get it work.
I don't see the point tough. You can find all that for free on torrent sites

But torrent sites aren't legal. XD and no, it's just currently invite only(aka, only someone else with the service can give you the "code" for you to sign up to it with)
It also can be a very simple and easy means of synchronizing your playlists between computers, or simply being able to access them from anywhere. it's also a way to instantly listen to any song as if it was in your library, which isn't really comparable to torrent sites(where you have to manually find something and get it, then play it)

Avon.. You need a premium code for use on Tivo box or phones/iPads etc
As for the rest of the program, it works fine without invitation or premium code.. You can listen to all the music you want but around every 3 - 5 songs, you will hear a 30second advert.

Yes, but that is only if the song you are listening to doesn't exist locally. If you have the song on your computer, you can listen to it as many times as you want.(it picks up music from itunes and windows media player) It only counts the songs that you have listened to through their service.

Yeah.. thats right but you still dont need activation code or referral.
