Basic design of linux ?,in linux kernal present in vertical foam with other layer when a virus enter in linux it found only one door for going to kernal but it identify by one layer and send to vault,so virus for BT 5 linux is a rear case.
if i m say about Windows OS,in win kernal present in horizental foam by which mean many door open for attack and pass the kernal means security low,so mostly virus infected the Windows OS.

Look, if you are scared about security, you can simply make a new user without root access (anyway, its stupid to use root all the time). Then it will be more difficult to exploit your system.

Also, BT isn't really meant to be your main system, even tho it is possible, you are better of with regular ubuntu or other distro.

And if yo do catch malware, Linux malware is usually made to spread into Windows computers. Therefore your machine can be infected, but your personal data can still be safe.

I have only BT as my main system Biggrin
With All necessary applications like gnome mplayer, openoffice and etc etc. Biggrin

Also, just root user. I love the hassle free environment.
