-First of all it must be clear what your Forum is about. One main topic, after you know that you create some other general topics.
-Try to make your forum as good as possible for searchmachines like google. (good tags, backlinking, you know what I mean)
-Now you have to make Some good and easy to understand Rules, start with writing some epic or special threads @ your forum.
-Don't cropy & paste, don't steal something. Something you found out yourself, that is your work.
-Make some categories that are good for a community feeling like, "introduce yourself", "how do you get here?", "general discussion".
-That are only some things you should know and do, but one thing is much better:
Register @ different content communities and forums, be active and look what they make. (Admins & Mods)
-After you got some friends from online games, forums, communities and and and you just advertise a bit and ask if they could have a look at your forum.
~ btw: It's better to start something like that with a partner or friend you can trust and who has some qualifications.

There are two things that bothered me.

It forces registration, this is not SEO friendly unless you give member rights to search engine bots. I don't think search engine spiders are able to crawl on your website easily.

Your website is vulnerable to a dangerous hack, pming you the details.

As for your question is concerned, submit it to various search engines via google webmaster tools, bing webmaster tools etc. Keep generating backlinks to a site, possibly high PR ones.

Oh OK ill keep that in mind
I didnt get a PM Sad
The site has been hacked numerous times before. The owner still doesnt fix it idk why Sad
