Can't connect to WiFi - 1llusion - 06-23-2011 Hey! Well... I'm kinda embarrassed by this but... Sometimes, when I try to connect to some unsecured WiFi, I'm unable to get IP address and therefore I can't use the WiFi... The problem occurs usually at non-public wifis I use ath5k chipset if this helps... Do they use some extra authentication? How can I fake it? Thanks!!!! RE: Can't connect to WiFi - Sental - 06-23-2011 hi, normally you can't get the IP address because there is a password for the WiFi and even if the WiFi required extra authentication you still be able to get the IP address. Maybe you can check you wireless adapter, IP Configuration dynamic/static to make sure your wireless adapter is functioning. just a suggestions ![]() RE: Can't connect to WiFi - 1llusion - 06-23-2011 k, thanks!!! I was confused, because it usually doesn't work on non-public WiFis |
