History of the Future - By Coder

The sky was crying and the end was near,
people were scared, shivering with fear.
That day came, which was feared the most.
Like a living shadow, like a frightful ghost.

The war was on, between every nation,
because of the thirst, and thirsty's suffocation.

No one was wrong, nor they were right,
They just had to try to live, they just had to fight.
They were out of choices, there was nowhere to go.
They just had to struggle, till the end of the show.

The weather was calm now, they felt it's presence.
It was the same gushing sound, same sound of heaven.
People were happy, so happy they cried.
Or that was for the casualties, so many who died.

They rushed to the source, before it's too late.
Their dream became true at last, they just couldn't wait.
Only to find the technology, making fun of them again.
As the end of everything was just in vain.

They did what they should've, long time ago.
Limit the metal's life, and let nature go.

I like really liked the play on words when you said

"because of the thirst, and thirsty's suffocation"

I am going to give that type of word play a try. I like it a lot.
