Any CB Radio users out there? - roger_smith - 11-16-2014 In my new place I have a lot of semi traffic, and I'm on the hwy with them a lot. I want to get CB so I can be aware of speed traps/road conditions, and also for weather alerts. Anyone have a CB? RE: Any CB Radio users out there? - Fury - 11-16-2014 I have wanted to do this for quite some time now.. never worked up the courage to get one installed. I'm planning to install it myself. I'm still in the "probably replacing my van" stage though, so I don't really want to put all the work into installing it to have to tear it all out when I get a new vehicle. At the same time, I don' really like to half ass installs. Conundrum... RE: Any CB Radio users out there? - Fury - 11-16-2014 I'm the same way. I have a RAM 1500 but I plan on buying a 2500 or 3500 in the next year or so, so why install it? Also wouldn't mind me some diesel :-D I've been looking at Ford 150/250 as well. I'd rather like me a 250 if I went Ford. I have to buy a trailer to travel for work, and I don't want to pull a 30' + bumper-pull, need a goose neck. RE: Any CB Radio users out there? - roger_smith - 11-16-2014 Massive trailer is massive. I just picked up a 4x7 TSC unit about a month or so ago. That thing was amazing for moving. It bounces a bit, so I wish I could toss some shock absorbers on it. I love having a trailer though, will be great for when I haul off a washer/dryer tomorrow. Of course I don't need a diesel for a 4x7 trailer, lol.I do want a pick up for hauling house stuff to fix this place up and make it sweet. Plus, I want to build a pole barn in an couple years so I need to be able to haul that stuff too. I think my van will have to get me thru the next few months at least though, so I may just get a CB and do a less-than-stellar install. RE: Any CB Radio users out there? - Losi - 11-16-2014 I feel really out of place with my love of imports and anime.
RE: Any CB Radio users out there? - roger_smith - 11-16-2014 @Losi Throw a CB in your import, problem solved ^_^. RE: Any CB Radio users out there? - ShawnReynolds - 11-16-2014 I have been wanting to get into CB fro a long time, but I do not know how to get the license. I think you have to take a test fro it, but I might be thinking about HAM radio. |
