Please Help, On final steps of this project lol - Slacker - 02-13-2013 Ok so I received 3 password with the help of 2 other users here, I am a Noob and need to know how to get past the SHA1 hash, the few websites I have tried are not returning any results so I was wondering if any one here can help me out :/ (NOTE: I do not have the time / patience for a brute forcer) RE: Please Help, On final steps of this project lol - i0xIllusi0n - 02-13-2013 You can't decrypt it like you can with Base64 etc, hashing is a one-way encryption. If you can't do a brute force, and since this hasn't ever been cracked yet, you have to wait till somebody else does. Which uhh... can be a bitch. RE: Please Help, On final steps of this project lol - TechSaavy - 02-13-2013 Well, if you don't want to wait a lot, you will have to try to crack it on your own, even if it can take some time. Try using a dictionary attack using hashcat (google it). It's often faster if the word is in dictionary. I could try to help you, even if I do not guarantee that I will get any results. You can PM me the hashes, if you don't feel for sharing this here on forum ![]() RE: Please Help, On final steps of this project lol - Slacker - 02-13-2013 I just found out that the passwords were salted, so only option is either hashcat or bruteforce, I do not have the time for that. I will just cut my loses, and attempt another site ![]() Please Help, On final steps of this project lol - Fury - 02-14-2013 Your name definitely fits you lol. Good luck on future attempts!
