Kurdistan In Need Of and Receiving Support - Dismas - 09-07-2014 Amid all the stuff going on, I just recently started hearing about the Kurds. Appears they are in need of aid from the United States. Optimally, it'd be better if the US didn't involve itself in the middle east. However, since it has, it should definitely help the Kurds. I believe they are also on friendly terms with Israel. Germany is already giving the Kurds some aid. Code: A top Kurdish representative to the U.S. claims that the Obama administration is not doing enough to supply vital advanced weapons to Kurdish peshmerga security forces in their fight against Islamic State militants – amid signs that other nations may be eclipsing the U.S. in their level of support. Code: Chancellor Angela Merkel told lawmakers on Monday that her government had decided to break with a taboo on delivering weapons to conflict zones because Germany and all of Europe faced a security threat from the extremists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Like with Israel, I have a decent amount of respect for Kurdistan, as they are standing against ISIS. I hope that they receive more support and continue to, as they are helping us with the middle east. We've been assholes for the last 75 years (mostly), can we at least help other countries out for a change? Especially after seeing videos of Kurdish soldiers being executed by ISIS. I recommend reading Al jazeera for up to date and accurate information on the middle east. It's where I get all my information on overseas matters. They have massive opposition, but they stand their ground. Their enemies happen to be ours, as well. No. No, of course not! *Fox slips Losi 100$* RE: Kurdistan In Need Of and Receiving Support - Dismas - 09-08-2014 It was funny, because I talked to a friend from Bangladesh today. He said he'd never heard of Kurdistan, so I had to tell him about it. It's funny how little Kurdistan is known about. (09-07-2014, 01:27 PM)Dyme Wrote: What? And we all know how little CNN and Fox have in common. ![]() RE: Kurdistan In Need Of and Receiving Support - Kodiak - 09-08-2014 (09-08-2014, 04:59 AM)Oni Wrote: It was funny, because I talked to a friend from Bangladesh today. And yes I believe we've been strong allies with the Kurds for a while. I'm sure the administration is weary of more involvement in that region, but we will probably have to tangle with ISIS whether we want to or not. They are pretty recognized, though. RE: Kurdistan In Need Of and Receiving Support - Eclipse - 09-10-2014 I'm interested in your opinion regarding Israel.
