Just saw Lee Evans! - Uzinero - 07-19-2014
Not sure if this belongs in random since it doesn't really relate to anything, but is also not shitposting or trolling so will post here, please move if I am wrong.
So, Lee Evans (English Comedian, for those that don't know) has a current tour going on called "Work in Progress" in which he basically goes around and tells all of his new jokes that he is still working on for upcoming tours, and since he was born in the city I'm in, he comes here first to tell the jokes. I used to watch him on TV a lot but started to find it boring because it was always the same jokes, but I went out with the family to watch him live and it was amazing! They only show old content it seems on TV, but at the live show he was doing all the jokes he had only just made and a ton that he wouldn't be putting on his main tour because it could get him sued, but at a small venue with no filming or anything he had no issues at all, so we got to hear a ton and it was brilliant. Since he was testing new stuff out, some of it wasn't that good though, I'd say about 20% of it was kinda lame, but the rest was some of the funniest shit ever. The only problem was that the chairs felt like sitting on cardboard and it was incredibly hot inside the place, but it was worth it and I still enjoyed it.
Any other Lee Evans fans here? Anyone seen him live and what did you think?

Haven't seen him live but had the chance to meet him after he played in my town. We actually had a conversation and he asked about my dog and stroked him and everything haha. It was awesome, still have the picture of when I met him too.

Haha, that sounds awesome.
We weren't allowed to take pictures but everyone still did at the end, my sister included.

Yeah when I met him security tried to take him away, but he stayed until he signed everyones autograph. Everyones.

Sounds like a great guy. Not many actors or comedians go out of their way for fans nowadays.

Yeah he is a really genuine nice guy. He was just there talking with everyone and when security said that he had to go, he stayed anyway and carried on talking with his fans; signing autographs and taking pictures.
Well worth the £50 parking fine we got. xD

Wow! I'm jealous of the whole lot of you. I'm definitely a fan of Lee Evans and I've never had the chance to go. I've only seen one comedian and that was Eddie Izzard... Not quite comparable I guess...
