What if.... - KrisKrox - 07-11-2014 What if Sinisterly decided to have it's own scanlation group. Any manga fans could practice their editing, translation, and scanning new manga into English or whatever language they choose. It also could help open the Anime and Manga community on here find new manga if the group is focusing on one. Just a thought I guess. RE: What if.... - Erza Scarlet - 07-11-2014 I would definitely help with editing, I can't do much with translating or scanning. We should totally start this. RE: What if.... - Customer - 07-11-2014 This isn't too bad of an idea, however that would probably fall into the group "Otaku". For this to happen, usually stuff needs to be decided by majority vote. If someone likes this, and other people like it then it will probably be done. However, if you wanted to make your own group for it then it would cost ya. I'm not good at any of the three so I just put it out there because it has always interested me RE: What if.... - Erza Scarlet - 07-11-2014 Im voting yes, and Like I said i could edit them. RE: What if.... - MiS - 07-11-2014 Note that this would be a very effort-driven, time-dedicated activity if we did this. We'd need translators, editors, proofreaders, people to provide the scans, and typesetters, to name a few jobs. People MUST reach certain deadlines with all their jobs, or the entire group will fall apart. Depending on how publicized our group gets, we may also have to deal with copyright issues from the publishers/authors themselves, and people who rip from our scans. However, despite all that, I'd be more than happy to support a scanlation group from Sinisterly, as it would garner more attention for the site (and our group within it, too). |
