Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - Fury - 02-02-2013 Just thought I'd share and gloat a little with my latest build. I have been building/modding for eight years now and this is probably my 6th high budget build. I completed this build about 2 months ago and it is the first time, in a long time I have used Intel. I can definitely say, there is a HUGE difference in Intel CPU's and AMD CPU's. With this new FX series out it was sort of a joke to me. I hate the fact that they advertise an 8-core CPU when it is truly a quad core. I use Intel's 3770K and They advertise it as a quad core but it runs 8 cores. Anyway. Hardware Specs: Intel 3770K 3.50 GHz, OC'd to 4.8 GHz on Turbo Boost Intel Sabertooth TUF Series z77 EVGA GTX 680 4GB FTW Editionm w/ backplate. 32 GB DDR3 2133MHz G.Skills RAM OCZ Vertex 512GB SSD (2) 1TB WD Cavier Black 6gb/s HDD Corsair H100 Water Cooler 1000 Watt Antec Power Supply Case: Cooler Master HAF Peripherals: Razer Naga Epic Mouse Logitech G510 Keyboard (2) 22" Monitor Full 1090p CM Storm Sirus Headset Boston Acoustics surround sound system w/ 10" subwoofer. What OS(es) are you going to use? RE: Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - Fury - 02-02-2013 Intel is honestly not a waste. I ran the Phenom II x6 OC'd to 5.0 GHz and I prefer this intel by leaps and bounds. I run Win 7 Ultimate. Can you put the photos in a spoiler? RE: Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - Fury - 02-02-2013 (02-02-2013, 03:26 AM)Kinanizer Wrote:(02-02-2013, 03:09 AM)Fury Wrote: Intel is honestly not a waste. RE: Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - -ƤƦЄƧЄƝƇЄ- - 02-02-2013 That's really Nice mate, Hope you Keep it. RE: Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - Fury - 02-02-2013 @TheEnd Nice monitor hahaha. I used to run the 5780 with my Phenom II x6 @Kinanizer Seems like a waste of HDD usage to me. I do everything I need to with Windows, honestly. I do some video editting so that explains the extra space. RE: Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - Oni - 02-02-2013 Oh man, you practically have the same specifications as me. Only differences are that I have a 3770S, 5TB of storage, and I don't use watercooling. I believe I'm using Corsair Vengeance RAM as well. However, I am using an EVGA 680, Sabertooth Z77, and a 1000 watt PSU just like you. Ironically, I have a friend (who will still argue now) that the Z77 is worthless, so watch out. When I get some money I'll be putting a higher end CPU, motherboard, and possibly running a second EVGA 680 in SLI. RE: Fury's Build/set-up Show-off! - Fury - 02-02-2013 How is the Sabertooth z77 useless ![]() Great mobo in my opinion. I used to run vengeance RAM. I really like g.skills. |
