Beginning Linux Training Series? Gauging interest... - roger_smith - 06-30-2014
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to gauge interest and see if there is any want/need for a beginning linux training series of some sort? I'm working towards some certifications, one of which is an instructor certification and it requires me to develop a training. I thought if there was any interest here I'd do a series as practice. If you have interest or see a benefit please let me know by posting a response here. If there is enough interest, I'll start planning one out.

I would certainly be interested, just to see how you instruct. And you never know, you might teach me something new. I am sure your series would help a lot of people. What certification are you going for in particular?

I'm debating the CompTIA CTT+ which has an in-person certification or an online instructor certification, depending on which tests you pass .

I agree with the reasoning with @Aurora. As someone who has barely any knowledge of coding myself, I think it'd be nice to have tutorials like these around so that I can learn a bit more while I'm browsing around here.

Yeah man do it. You'll prob gain some respect and reps off the series as well. I also know next to nothing about linux, so go at it!

I would have to agree, linux is an essential part of life, everybody should know what there is to offer. If you need any help working on it, I would be glad to do so. I have only been using linux since early 2006.

Hey guys,
The response seems positive here so I am planning to start putting this together. Please be patient, as I will work on it when I have spare time (which in my life lately is a rare thing). I hope to have at least a demo or teaser or something ready soon as I get ideas and put them together.
