How to set up a tor hidden service? - SEBoss - 06-24-2014 Can anyone either PM me and explain or point me in the direction to a guide (I googled everything is outdated) to how to set up a hidden service on tor for FREE and how to make sure if me safe hosting it? Thanks I will rep whoever helps and am willing to help you learn SEing Also this would be done on a separate old PC running windows xp and then windows XP inside a VM witch is where I would run the server. How do I make sure I am un traceable. This is all hypothetical of course I'm just curious how this works
RE: How to set up a tor hidden service? - 3SidedSquare - 06-24-2014 Download tor bundle, on the tor control panel, go to setup relaying, go to the "services" tab, press the green arrow to add a new service. Start up Apache or whatever web hosting software you want to use. Be sure you have port forwarded (google it, it's different for every router). Stuff: make sure the virtual port is set to whatever service is binded to (Ex, Apache binds to port 80, be sure your "virtual port" is 80) Tor does the rest, happy hacking.
