My inactivity. - Uzinero - 04-29-2014 Since this is just a small message and not really anything with great relevance, I decided to post this in the random discussions. As you may have noticed I have been inactive for a little while now. Reason being, I was extremely busy for a couple of weeks. That's been over for around 2 weeks now though, and just as I was about to get into the SL community, my hard drive started to fail. Turns out the company who built my computer used a recertified hard drive instead of a new one to save themselves £10, and so it has failed after just a year and 3 months. Checkdisk runs almost every time I turn on my PC lately, but the last few times, I've had to run startup repair just to get on Windows. Tonight I had a close call, at first it wouldn't start, Checkdisk ran and it still wouldn't start, but I gave it one more try and now here I am, but I know this drive probably won't manage a single more boot. So I'm on here now, to inform you all of why I've been so inactive lately. My dad is ordering me a new drive tonight and I'm currently in the process of backing up my important files online, after which I'll turn off my PC, and probably won't manage to turn it back on until the new drive is in place, so since it won't come throughout the next few days, I say a hopefully short lived goodbye to you guys on SL, and I hope my new drive will come and I will be able to rejoin you soon. Bye guys, I'll hopefully see you all soon, and when I do, my activity should increase once I have a new drive and can actually get on my PC without issue. -Uzinero Oh, and P.S. Never ever buy a build from Vibox Gaming on eBay. They may seem like a decent deal if you're on a tight budget, but all of their shit is so cheap because it was repaired, and most of it will likely fail pretty soon after you get your PC. The tone of this is so G-d damn depressing. It sounded like your computer is dying a slow and painful death from cancer. RE: My inactivity. - cr33pyguy - 04-30-2014 Damn man. Try to appear online as soon as possible. So you're gonna have to completely reinstall EVERYTHING? P.S. Thanks for the heads up about the seller. On my iPod right now, luckily my windows disk came today and my drive should be getting sent out tomorrow so I should be back up and running in around a week I think. I backed up all of my important documents online to download, but all of my games and program's are going to need too be reinstalled. Had around 850gb worth installed so that's gonna be a bit of a pain in the ass. But The installations O.o 850 Gb is a lot of stuff RE: My inactivity. - Uzinero - 05-01-2014 (04-30-2014, 10:08 PM)cr33pyguy Wrote: That's great. Good luck man Yeah, it's sure gonna take a while. All honesty I don't really have much of a life outside of my PC so most of the money I get goes towards games, hence having like 850gb worth of games and software installed. RE: My inactivity. - misnar - 05-01-2014 no one cares, go hang yourself. RE: My inactivity. - Oni - 05-01-2014 (05-01-2014, 01:37 AM)misnar Wrote: no one cares, go hang yourself. You probably should've bought an external harddrive and backed up everything that way. Yeah its a hundred dollars but in reality you could wipe it after you retransferred everything and use it for anything you want. Anything. If you get my drift. .....anything. |
