Coding Forum Suggestions - Scythe - 04-14-2014
Firstly, in my opinion, the coding forum needs more subject prefixes, those are:
[Help] - users can use this prefix if they need help with their code.
[Source] - users can use this prefix if they are releasing their application source code.
[Release] - users can use this prefix if they are releasing their application without its source code.
Secondly, I noticed that some EXE extensions are being uploaded without a virus scan. This could be slightly harmful for the users. I'm not saying that some users might try to infect others but, let's say for example, the person's computer is infected with a spreader but that person doesn't know about it and therefore, when he/she uploads the EXE to forum it will be dangerous and will result in causing other users to get infected as well.
So, I'm suggesting that every user who uploads an EXE should also provide a virus scan with it.
The best known services are VirusTotal and Jotti.

It's pointless, A decent Crypter will make it clean.
However if they do scan virustotal those samples will be uploaded to the AV companies so it might increase the chances of it being clean.

Something is better than nothing - don't you agree?
Besides from using a Crypter to make the application FUD, read what I've posted and think again about users who have infected computers.

There was a guy who's name I won't say, he actually found a way for an application to launch when you opened a visual C or vb.net source in visual studio. So sources could be potentially dangerous.

I've never got the point of scanning your own programs. If a person doesn't trust it then they can scan it themselves or use sandboxy.

Open the source code files using the .SLN or just the file like .VB, .CS, .CPP? If it's just the actual source code file then, I assure you it's impossible to inject a virus to it.

If skids want to download third party "exes" lol, i was going to say coded, but we all know that they just rip code, uhm, i'd say let it go, let them go and "download" all that shit and get infected. why should the uploader provide a virus scan?

all the uploader has to do with the virus scan on VT is to inspect element > screenshot and tons of 9 year olds will come running like bears to honey.
also, it's not like these faggots can't get access to a crypter. crypters are ridiculously easy to code/steal/rip w/e and it's honestly no more effort to try and infect someone if they did that.
