I was thinking that instead of having the clickable "Messages" and then a PM counter why not just make it so that way you can click on the PM counter and it heads to your messages.

I'll agree with this. I'd love to see this implemented. This would make going to my PM's a ton easier.

So you want to just be brought to your messages? It's just an extra click. Besides, do you not think that some people don't want to always be brought to their messages. Plus it's just an additional click. I'll keep in the back of my mind, I just don't see the reason to change it for now.
