The Co-Founder of Reddit commited suicide yesterday.
I wonder if he did it because of potential upcoming jail time for stealing from MIT.

Indeed. It's probably because he stole some data from MIT. They were going to try to have him locked up for 50+ years. It's sad that they were a cause for this.

Oh well, if you steal data from a large educational institution and can't do it anonymously, then of course you're going to face jail time.

I wish this issue would get more attention to be honest... There's no reason he should have been charged so much for something so stupid. They really need to improve laws regarding computers. The fact you can be overcharged for downloading music or stealing some data is pathetic.

I honestly am happy he is done. He is a horrible person. Although I am not happy he Committed suicide, sad day for Redditors. He should have cleaned himself up.

Based on what? He was not a horrid person In any way. People have nothing but good things to say about them. I participated in their international secret Santa this past year. It was a cool idea.
