Characters & Some Information On Them



Vaas Montenegro



Simply put, Vaas is downright nuts. He's also violent, unpredictable, prideful, and extremely dangerous. Vaas started on this downward spiral when he became addicted to drugs brought to Rook Island by Hoyt Volker. He eventually joined up with the self-appointed warlord after Hoyt promised him power and wealth. Now he is one of the most feared men on an island full of madmen.

Hoyt Volker



After a brutal upbringing by his father, a South African mining boss, Hoyt Volker swore to outdo him. As an adult he manoeuvred to the head of a consortium of pirates by undercutting the boss politically and then literally, finishing him off in front of his family. Today he runs his operations out of Rook Island and commands his own private army of bloodthirsty mercenaries.

Quote:Hoyt Volker is the primary antagonist of Far Cry 3. He is described as 'armageddon' compared to Vaas and works in slave trafficking and murder. He is the leader of the Privateers and also rules the Southern Island. According to Dennis, Hoyt was the source of "all the evil" happening on the island.

Jason Brody



Jason Brody was born on December 30, 1987 and he was raised in Los Angeles, alongside his brothers, Grant Brody and Riley Brody. Throughout his youth, Jason received good grades in school and even became a skilled college athlete. Jason's father died sometime after Jason graduated from college. A few years later Jason plans to go to Bangkok and later on to Rook Island. Jason went with Grant, Riley and their friends on a vacation to the Rook Islands. When Jason, his brothers and his friends go to the club, Doug leads them to a elevator after a fight between Keith and some islanders. They run into the elevator with Doug inside and Doug explains how there is a island that they can do "anything" and skydive right into the island. Grant says its too risky and Liza disagrees, later on they agree and go on a plane and skydive. They then go onto the island and explore around there. Jason is seen taking pictures of animals and doing activities around the island. Possibly a few days or hours later they all get by the shore with shots and notice that Riley is not with them. They says cheers and drink. Later on pirates came to the shore and got them. However, shortly after their arrival, Jason and his friends were kidnapped by a gang of pirates led by a sadistic and insane pirate named Vaas Montenegro. Jason woke up in a cage with Grant. Vaas began taunting the brothers, threatening to extort ransom money from their parents and sell the group into slavery. After Vaas left, Grant and Jason broke free of their bonds and escaped. Grant promised Jason that they would come back to the camp to save the rest of the group and then escape the island, but Grant was shot by Vaas. Jason desperately tried to stop the bleeding, but he couldn't save him. Vaas then let Jason have a 'head start' before he would start shooting at him and let Jason run into the forest. Jason made a narrow escape from the pirates, but fell into a river after a helicopter destroyed the bridge he was running on. However, he was saved by a man named Dennis Rogers, who introduced him to the rebel group against Vaas, known as the Rakyat. Jason was taken to Amanaki Village. Upon arrival, the villagers celebrated Jason's escape from Vaas. Dennis told Jason that his escape was a sign of hope against the pirates and they need support against Vaas. Dennis told Jason that Vaas used scramblers on nearby radio towers to keep in touch with his men and prevent others from using them, and told him to disable it so they could use it to locate Jason's friends. Jason successfully disabled the scrambler and received a radio transmission from the pirates who were holding Daisy Lee, Grant's girlfriend, hostage, who eventually escaped. Dennis and Jason set out to find Daisy. Jason and Dennis eventually track Daisy to a remote pirate outpost and they kill the pirates, but realize that Daisy had already escaped. Dennis then told Jason that he and his men traced Daisy to the house of Dr. Alec Earnhardt and told Jason to meet Earnhardt at his house. Dennis encouraged Jason to keep going and that the Rakyat are impressed with him and he left to search for the rest of Jason's friends.

Loadouts, skills and equipment
Players get full control of the loadouts used in co-op & multiplayer, including weapons, attachments, equipment and special skills. Because teamwork is core to the multiplayer experience, all loadouts include Battle Cries and Team Support, encouraging everyone to fight together.

Decode to unlock new weapons
Acquire devices containing encrypted data by playing the game in co-op or multiplayer, then decode them to unlock unique weapon combinations. Decoding speed boots can be shared with your friends to help them decrypt their own data, and you can share your rewards as well. You can decode in-game or online through Far Cry HQ.

Interactive end-of-match cinematics
