Soundcloud Logo - latex_op - 01-06-2014
This is my first logo for Soundcloud. Hope you guys like it.

I like it, though the flare ruins it a little in my eyes. ( I prefer to avoid the use of flare. ) Perhaps you may want to do something with the full text under the actual logo too, edit it or remove it all together to make it more eye appealing.

This was all done on a request from a client. He wanted the flare and the lower text to be like that. Thanks for the criticism, it help me a lot in further projects.

It would be better if you rendered the 3D out as a png so that the background would be transparent, though it is pretty hard to do within cinema 4D settings. (If that is what your using)

I only used Photoshop for this. I am shit at C4D.

It really isn't as hard to render something in C4D, at least it wasn't back when I used it a little.

What Photoshop edition? Some of the newer ones have 3D options, so if you didn't use that you may want to look into it.

Know that I look at the image closer i see that it's not really 3D and instead you just duplicated the letter and placed it behind the other letter with a different shade. Ignore what I was saying about C4D

I am not entirely certain if CS5 had the 3D option, however if it did, then you may want to note that its a bit annoying to use. ( Also, you may want to look into getting Photoshop CC, which technically is Photoshop CS7. Though that is only if you want the latest options )
