What are you talking about man? EVERY forum has staff with more rep than normal users. The staff get rep because the members like there forum.

Yeah, but people here obviously like the staff, and they're going to +rep them. We know that's going to happen, but I'd rather see legit reputations, like alex, for example.

Yep. Set staff rep to like 300 or something and lock it. That way when they leave rep on people, you can still see a number instead of '0'. A zero on rep is awkward.

Why would we disable staff rep? They're the staff for a reason, let people suck up to them, it's not like it means that much.

The way i see it they are users just like the rest of us, hopefully if they are staff they deserve the rep that are given, but really past 50 it doesn't really matter (although i am a bit unclear on how all this rep works in the first place). To me it just isn't a big deal.

Well lets see, it makes it so that way members have almost no chance to shine and they'll most likely overshadow the rest in rep.
