Getting DDoS threats - lux - 01-12-2013 So, some noob is threatening to DDoS me, i have his name, twitter, IP, ETC, what should i do? O.o RE: Getting DDoS threats - ねこまっしぐら - 01-12-2013 Get his address and social security number. RE: Getting DDoS threats - Anon_Error - 01-12-2013 Do whatever action you see fit ^~^ RE: Getting DDoS threats - lux - 01-12-2013 He is now saying he has a hacked VPS that he'll leave to DDoS me for a few days, I have screenshots and his IP, Just wait for my internet to slow down and then contact my provider and report a DDoS attack and I know who is doing it? I'd hate to report a real hacker, but this is some kid who thinks hes a hacker because he downloads and runs programs... Unless you are really prepared to go to court over something like this, I'd just recommend waiting for the kid to stop. Your other option is to attack him back. A few hours of no internet won't kill you and he can't attack you forever. You can also call your ISP and tell them your connection is terrible. My connection is always terrible. :-( RE: Getting DDoS threats - Kolt1911 - 01-12-2013 So is mine Johnny! I hate my connection... RE: Getting DDoS threats - Ultimatum - 01-12-2013 Just contact ISP through a phone call, and change to Dynamic IP. Therefore, when you get a DDoS, switch off your router and restart = new IP. RE: Getting DDoS threats - BreShiE - 01-12-2013 Reset your IP if you have a dynamic IP. If not, then just don't instigate confrontations. You can't really do much if you have a static IP, so good luck OP. :blackhat: RE: Getting DDoS threats - lux - 01-12-2013 I already have a dynamic, but this kid has stolen from me, so ill just get some screenies of him DDoSing me packet wise, and just keep them somewhere |
