[Review] Skin - Fallen - 12-19-2013 ![]() It's been a while since Rigat0n1, the master theme creator, has released another theme. I've been following his Twitter from the release of his captivating Avellino Deluxe to the progression of his works on Skin over time. Rigat0n1 has put forth tremendous effort to bring this theme alive and today I will be reviewing his masterpiece. I suspect this will be his last theme (as he has mentioned previously) for iDevices. (If not, iOS 6) Before I start, it has been a great run with Paul's themes and I must admit that Twelve and Avellino were the first themes to capture my attention on the Cydia store. Let's get to the icon set first. Spoiler: Preview of Iconset![]() ![]() Every single icon has been designed with a beautiful gray gradient frame with a light shadow that makes each icon bounce on the page. If you look at the preview closely, you'll also realize that the thumbnail is unique to each individual application. The theme of the iconset was to imitate the interface of iOS 6 yet it seems to carry its own message. One telling us that Apple graphic designers do not have the slightest of competition with the theme. Skin doesn't replicate iOS 6. Skin exceeds the stock graphics and was designed in a way that made it possible. The badges that pop up over applications are not obtrusive and remain very eye pleasing. The red is not too bright, but not too grungy like Apple's. Included in this theme comes a color keyboard theme that is hard to beat. Although, the search bar has not been covered, the keyboard looks simply at its best. With the native gloss that iDevices carry, Skin is fitting with any wallpaper. The UI is slim and very carefully drawn to assure the finest and most delicate quality. Although it is not meant to have a complete over take of the UI, Skin's minimalistic feel is quite stunning. A few recommendations (if you do indeed prefer a complete overtake) for the UI, include Avellino Deluxe's UI, or FIF7Y'S origin theme. The main introductions to his User Interfaces can be found inside the applications themselves. They are exquisite and elegant. A match of perfection. We can observe even its top quality from the Lockscreen where the slider knob has been redesigned to look attractive to the user and clean to most audiences. My Skin layout includes these several options. Skin - UI Skin - Icons Skin - CK Skin - AppStore (Your top selling titles, redesigned with an appearance you cannot resist) Origin UI SnowCover 4 Twelve (Rigat0n1's Twelve Add-On) Provided below, are the default screenshots (Simple Set Up) of Skin. ![]() ![]() Here is a free add-on to the theme. The widget looks like so. Spoiler: Widget![]() You can find the theme right now on Cydia. Thanks for reading and be sure to look out for more of my theme reviews.
