Can we close the advanced security section? - Cosmic - 02-06-2014 It's dead. There are only 3 threads in there, none of us use it, and it's just not a desirable sub forum. Every other SF on the security tab has daily posts, but no one's been in there since October. That thing has been there over a year and no one's paid any attention to it. It needs to go.
RE: Can we close the advanced security section? - OversouL - 02-06-2014 Just give it more time. I haven't seen anyone make a lengthy and informational tutorial/guide in different sections for months now. RE: Can we close the advanced security section? - cr33pyguy - 02-06-2014 If it is actually dead since October, I agree with you. As for the good posts, those can be moved to other relevant sections. RE: Can we close the advanced security section? - Mom - 02-11-2014 Now explain to me, and this may be flippin' wild, what inconvenience it is posing you or most anyone for it being there? It's doing nothing to perturb you and you can literally choose not to look at it. Sure, it doesn't receive attention, but should someone want to post there someday for, say, the exact reason you're stating, then they can bloody go sink to the deepest part of the ocean? Basically: You don't see the point in it being there. I don't see the point in removing it. It's a stalemate. You've never seen that section and therefore your opinion isn't valid to me lol. But for argument's sake, it devalues the viewed activity of the forum. Every other sub forum on site displays - most of the time - daily activity, whereas that one hasn't seen a post in months. It doesn't serve any purpose, and is simply a waste of disk space. If someone would wish to post there, they could post in the normal security section and achieve the exact same result, possibly an even better one due to all members being able to view it. Well aren't you snippy? Seems like saying unnecessary things is your quirk. Point being, the reasoning stated afterwards are just repeats and don't really shed any new light on why it should be removed aside from your personal irritation. Not everyone will agree with you, and that doesn't make anything invalid. You explained what was going on, what the situation of the sub-forum was like, etc. I don't have to bloody see it at all to get the picture. It's like saying that the water is blue but someone should fuck off because they haven't seen the water even though you just said what color it was. Which, by the by, you should seriously work on that irritation. I won't revisit this subject, I do enjoy arguments but not with someone who seems to go immediately on the hostile side of things for the sake of being hostile. RE: Can we close the advanced security section? - Oni - 02-12-2014 It's there for reasons not apparent to you. It will remain. Closing the thread. |
