To upgrade or not to upgrade - cr33pyguy - 01-29-2014

I have a quick question to you all...
At the moment I have a laptop (or well, I guess a mac doesn't count as a computer), which I have received from school. However, I am moving over the summer, and because of this I'm only left with my desktop (low-end, worth like... 300€?).
So, I have the choice of either buying a laptop, or upgrading my desktop from AMD athlon II (3x) (never should have bought this) and Nvidia Geforce GT630 to AMD FX 6300, or something of the type and Nvidia Geforce GTX650 Ti Boots.

Which should I do and why?

Depends on what you'll be using it for.

If you plan on gaming, then go desktop.

Other than that, just use a laptop.

Oh, yeah that was something that I was supposed to mention...
I'll be doing quite a bit of gaming, but other stuff too...
right now I'm thinking of going for the desktop...

That would probably be your best bet, my friend.

Best of luck to you.

It also depends on if you're out and about with it. Even moving around your own house. You could always go for a gaming laptop but they're expensive.

And guess what? of course I don't have money like that. I just don't (also, my parents won't even pay for my drivers license, or university, so...)

Also, there are no laptops you can really game on. Even alienware has crap cooling compared to the power.
