Kill Me Now - I Officially Hate Doors! - BreShiE - 01-20-2014 Okay, today is officially the worst day of 2014 for me. Yeah, yeah, it's only mid-January I know. However it is still my worst day so far. tl;dr You're a faggot for not reading this and I couldn't get in my front door so I broke my back door to get in. It's the coldest day in the UK so far this Winter (atleast in my area - it's at freezing point (0 Degrees Celsius)) and I'm supposed to be at college. It's a normal day, I overslept and was rushing to get a lift with my mate to college. I thought he'd left me by the time I'd got there as I was 10 minutes later than I should have been, but sure enough 10 minutes after that he turns up complaining about his car being frozen over. By this time I'm ready to go home and sleep so I tell him "FUCK YOU I'M NOT COMING" jokingly. Anyway, here's why I hate doors now. I got home, tried the key in my door.... Y U NO WORK. I proceeded to try again for the next 1-2 hours - even went down to the local store and got some WD-40 to try, no luck. Tried dei-cer. Tried pulling the door up and turning the key, tried pushing the door down and turning the key. Got angry and tried kicking the door. Heh. Eventually I had to break a panel in on my backdoor to reach up and grab the backdoor key from the lock and to unlock the backdoor and get in that way. Day ruined. It's only fucking 10am. If anyone knows how to unlock a door that's not actually locked and the lock piece itself is stuck inside the frame, let me know. How's your day going so far SL? RE: Kill Me Now - I Officially Hate Doors! - Equinox - 01-20-2014 I could be better. It's 4:24 Am my time right now and I haven't had any noodles in a cup. Hating the day so far but it's my fault for not getting off my butt to make some instant noodles. I'm also raging like a little kid about my PPE project. ._. Wow bro, your day sounds so much better worse. :3 RE: Kill Me Now - I Officially Hate Doors! - Equinox - 01-20-2014 (01-20-2014, 11:35 AM)BreShiE Wrote: Wow bro, your day sounds so much better worse. :3Of course it does. You can't live without instant noodles. I'm like a college student in middle school. The noodles part, I'm quite stupid in school. RE: Kill Me Now - I Officially Hate Doors! - cr33pyguy - 01-20-2014 I don't understand how your cars && locks don't work at 0 ˚C. Where I come from it goes below -25 ˚C frequently during January RE: Kill Me Now - I Officially Hate Doors! - OversouL - 01-20-2014 Well for me. I took an exam in a subject I haven't studied, barely got any answer, -5 points for not passing within 10 counts. I also took a physics exam which I didn't finish in time same goes with math, but after that the day went on smoothly. Got to play volleyball, went to a birthday, ate Ice cream and then back sitting here. Also maybe you can try unlocking the door by sliding an ID between the door and the lock. Depends on what type of door that is.

The lock has been messing up for a while, it's not really anything to do with the weather. Although I have quite an old car and the inside on the lock had frozen up this morning, I had to force the key in and force it as lightly as I could to turn. The insides of the windows had frozen too. Also, OversouL, I didn't think about that actually, I'll try that later! The problem is that whatever grease that was originally used when the lock was manufactured likely wasn't rated for that cold of temperatures. WD-40 is rated for down to 20 below 0. RE: Kill Me Now - I Officially Hate Doors! - BlueScreen - 01-20-2014 Lel. I remember having this problem a few years back coming home from school, and either forgetting my keys or just being told that nopony was going to lock it that day (I used to live on an island with not that many people) and then having to climb up to the roof using a ladder, then jump down on the veranda, and try to climb in a second story window that I had picked open using a stick just minutes earlier. |
